Ive been a guitarist for about 12+ years now. Mostly self-taught, although an occasional Guitar Magazine helps every now and then. My musical passion really started going about 5 or 6 years ago when I started to record music as a hobby. Once I started recording my own material (Instrumental Guitar Rock), I knew right away I found my calling. Its such a joy to create music that will reach out to people and stir up emotions. With today's technology, recording music couldn't be any more simpler.....and all easily done from the privacy of your own home! Of course you can guess, my hobby turned into a passion.
I first heard of Steven Slate when a buddy of mine emailed me and said "HEY!, you gotta hear this guys drum samples! They're Awesome!". Being a at home recording musician, I thought I would give em a listen and see what the fuss was all about. When I went to Stevenslatedrums.com, it only took me the first few audio examples to know I NEED this. I then grabbed my first Slate product SSD 2.0 LE.
I was so stoked to have these drums. I honestly couldn't think of recording/mixing without these samples. From that point on, I guess I became a "fan boy". An active member on his message forum, always chiming in to help when ever someone needed it from the board, or even helping out Slate when he needed it. I didn't mind doing odd-job/tasks for him or anyone in his company. It was an honor.
After a while, Slate Digital came out with TRIGGER, FG-X and VCC. Of course being the fan of this companies products, I grabbed em all. Every one of them is top notch, ground breaking, and pushes the bar for other companies to strive towards. With these products, I can honestly say I can make a top notch professional quality sound recording/mix/master......almost effortless.
Its truly an honor to be part of the Slate Digital Family. Its a tight family, were all brothers and sisters here. The best thing about family.....is I know they got my back, as well as I got theirs."
