"I've been using and trying different limiting plug ins and FG-X is the only plug-in that handles transients in a truly unique manner. The problem that I have had with other limiting plug-ins are the way in which my transients, especially snare drums disappear, now with FG-X I no longer have that problem. The first time I put FG-X on my mix I was surprised how it makes everything much punchier and my transients sing through the mix in a great way. My clients and myself are stoked on playbacks, it's show business after all and you have to impress your clients and FG-X gets me there faster. It's definitely not a one trick pony plug-in like most limiting plug-ins, and it's my favorite plug-in to come out in years. Slate Digital hit it right of the park with FG- X, an amazing plug-in that solves a common problem we have in modern record making. As the kids say today.... it's "EPIC"
"I've been a dedicated user of Slate Drums for a few years now and I am super impressed on how they were able improve on something that already awesome. I love the added NRG room sound and I find I don't have to really use much or any processing to get my drum sounds slamming. The new GUI is really easy to tweek to your liking, but I hardly have to because they sound so great. Whatever your style is there is something in there for everyone, and it's laid out in a manner which makes sense, but the bottom line is they all sound great. In these modern times where budgets are tighter and smaller I find myself using Slate Drums more to get that big studio sound."
"Putting drum samples into my sessions has always been a time suck in my day and I have always jumped through hoops to get them phase accurate. TRIGGER has saved me tons of time with drum replacement, and finally a product that addresses the issues sample accuracy. I love the MIDI functions as well , but the ability to layer different sounds and perspectives is where TRIGGER shines. I have been able to customize my drum samples with different room and overhead sounds; it now makes it fun to lay in drum samples. It's now a creative process and not a chore."
